Vibe Check

Tonight I took some time to sit with myself. I honestly have not done that for a couple of days and it was much needed. If you feel like me, some of you may feel like you were moving on from something but it seems like you keep getting pulled back or you are unsure of this new voyage you are going on. Or maybe you are being forced to move on but you are not sure of where you are going. This is why I wanted to share this post to remind you to check-in with yourself.

A lot of the time we forget to communicate with the most important person in our lives… ourselves. There are so many things that happen throughout the days, weeks, months, and even years. How much of our everyday lives do we truly process though? I personally have been trying to be more mindful of this. This is how we let a lot of unknown or maybe even known things that we do not want to acknowledge yet build up. At this moment, I want you to answer a question for yourself. Where are you going or where do you want to go?


Many times we just go about each day working towards a goal blindly. We may have the end picture but nothing mapped out to get there. It could even be the exact opposite we have the smaller goals but no larger goal that we are seeking to achieve. There is nothing in the bigger picture for us but we just hope it will magically come to us at some point. For some that totally might happen and it is amazing. However, I feel like for most of us we need to pull it out of ourselves.


Tonight's vibe check is to remind you of a few things depending on the current phase you are in…


1. If you do not have any goals or do not have a plan(s) for what you would like to do next. Now is the time to truly sit down with yourself and map out those plans.


2. If you have mapped out plans but you still have yet to take action. Now maybe the time where you need to check in with yourself and see why are you not following the plans. Do you need to make some adjustments? Have you lost motivation? What is causing this stagnant energy? What are you trying to communicate with yourself?


3. If you are working on your goals and going hard. Are you being patient for results or are you wanting to see the outcome now? Remember, the best thing to have is longevity. It will not happen overnight and you need to continue to work hard. Be patient and water your seed each day.


Most of all remember to have confidence in your decisions. Sometimes, we just have to take a leap of faith and trust the process. Even if we do not exactly know what we are doing. The thing(s) we are working on will lead us in the right direction. If you feel in your heart that is what you are supposed to do then do it. No matter what anyway says or no matter what your ego might say. Do not let yourself get in the way of yourself.


So, when you check in with yourself. Remind yourself of why you are doing the things you are doing. Remind yourself to have patience with yourself and stay present by doing things each day that contribute to your goal. Listen to what you have to say externally and internally. Do not let any negative thoughts come up and have control over you. Remember you can start a new way of thinking if you have been feeling like there is no way. Don’t fight the change that is manifesting in your life. Enjoy the process and remember to stay passionate about everything you do. If you lose that passion dig deeper and find out why. Remember to observe everything around you. Some of the answers and clarity we seek are always just sitting there right in front of our faces but we are just so in the clouds to put two and two together.
